SUMMARY

Post-Katrina enrollment increased 19.1% from Spring 2006 (10,001) to Fall 2006 (11,916).

Female students increased by 17.0% from Spring 2006; male students increased by 24.6%.
Our female student enrollment continues to make up 70% of the total.

African American enrollment increased by 25.1% from Spring 2006. Asian/Pacific Islander
enrollment increased by 27%. Caucasian enrollment increased by 15.3%.
African Americans now make up 36% of our enrollment, up from spring (34%), but still less than the pre-
Katrina percentage of 42%.

Charity Campus had the largest increase from Spring 2006 with 31.9% gain in enrollment. Northshore site
increased by 27.7% over Spring 2006.

Enrollment at the City Park campus increased 19.4%, and West Bank campus by 11.1%.

Transfer students increases by 120.1% from Spring 2006; Readmitted students increased by 171.9%.
First-time freshman increased 28.5% from Spring 2006.

Pre-Nursing and General Studies had the largest increases in enrollment since Spring 2006.

Business Administration, Health Information Technology, Practical Nursing, Electrical Construction Technology,
CET-Construction Management, American Sign Language Studies, Veterinary Technology
had significant increases in program enrollment from the Spring 2006 semester.

Hospitality, and Safety & Health Technology had significant decreases in program enrollment
from the Spring 2006.
