    Enrollment decreased 22.6% from Spring 2002 (13,470) to Spring 2006 (10,001).

    Enrollment decreased 39.5% from Spring 2005 (16,787) to Spring 2006 (10,001).

    The percentage of female students increased slightly over last year; the percentage of male students
    decreased slightly. Our female student enrollment continues to make up 70% of the total.

    The percentage of African American students decreased by 8.7% from Spring 2005 (43.0%)
    to Spring 2006 (34.3%). The percentage of Caucasian students increased by 8.4% over last year.
    Note: This is the first enrollment report published following Hurricane Katrina in Fall 2005.
    The dramatic decreases are result of the storm's impact on Delgado Community College
    and the greater New Orleans area.
