Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order on August 9, 2004 at 2:08 p.m. by Chairperson Cathy Sarrazin.

Members in attendance:

I.   Review Minutes

·   The minutes of the July 13, 2004 meeting were reviewed and approved on motion of Debbie Bridges.

·   The minutes of the July 22, 2004 meeting were reviewed and approved on motion of Marty Straub.

II.   Consultant Visit

·   Banner Workshop Planned- SCT Banner consultant, Barbara Hunt will visit Delgado Community College on August 24, 25, and 26, 2004 to conduct a training session for the Data Standards Committee. This training will be very helpful and provide information key to this committee’s decisions. Members are strongly encouraged to attend the opening session on August 24^th, an overview of Banner and screens in the student module. Training sessions are planned for each of the Work Groups.

·   Questions for Kathy Singer- No response has been received to the questions presented during the special session with Kathy Singer. Dr. Sippola recommended by that a copy of the minutes from that meeting be forwarded to Barbara Hunt prior to the training date.

III.   Work Group Updates

·   Naming committee – The committee is waiting for clarification on Vendor names and name types before completing their report.

·   Addresses committee – The committee has not held a meeting since presenting to the committee. They have some questions on the format for military addresses.

·   Report Codes committee – The committee is on schedule and has some questions ready for the training session.

·   Instructional Codes committee - The committee has numerous issues to clarification with the Banner training consultant before they can move forward.

IV.   Announcements

·   Meeting Schedule - Fall 2004
