Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order on November 15, 2004 at 2:20 p.m. by Chairperson Cathy Sarrazin.

Members in attendance:

I.   Review Minutes

·   The minutes of the November 15, 2004 meeting were reviewed and approved on motion of Deborah Bridges.

II.   Administrative Department Codes

·   Cathy Sarrazin, Chairperson, acknowledge that administration division & departmental code swere not were not included in the first draft of the data standards document. The chairperson suggested that the Finance and Human Resources departments review the codes and recommend standards. Handouts were distributed to the members listing the codes currently used in SIS. The membership reviewed and discussed the current codes.

·   Chairperson, Cathy Sarrazin will draft recommendations to define the use of administrative department codes to be presented at the next meeting.

III.   New Business

·   Round-Table Discussion- Deborah Bridges provided information on the recent Banner training session. The membership expressed their concerns regarding searching and sorting Non-person name for vendors.

  It was also noted by members attending SCT training sessions that the SCT trainers were reluctant to disclose Banner information and answer some question in training.

IV.   Announcements

·   The Banner Training Lab and Conference room located in Building 2 is now complete.

·   The meetings scheduled for December 6, 2004 has been canceled. The next meeting will be in January 2005.
