Curriculum Committee Meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m. by Harold Gaspard.

III.   Minutes of October 1, 2004

Minutes of the meeting of October 1, were moved for acceptance [Mary Bartholomew/Mary Ellen Logan] pending amendment to VII 1) and 2) which should read:

 

1) Workforce Development and Education:

Concept Proposal: new Technical Competency Area program – Management Trainee [Harolyn Cumlet /Sheila Hickman] Motion to accept proposal pending change in title to Management Trainee in General Business. Motion carried with one abstention. 

 

2) Culinary Arts/Business and Technology:

Concept Proposal: new Certificate of Technical Studies Program – Culinary Management [Sheila Hickman/Sonia Taylor] Motion to accept proposal. Motion carried unanimously.

 

IV.   Debbie Lea’s Report

Board approval was received for TCA - Desktop Publishing and Clerical Automation.

Vice Chancellor LSD approval was also received for all items recommended at the last meeting.

 


Currently at LCTCS are:

·   TCA - Management Trainee in General Business

·   CTS - Culinary Management

·   CTS - Safety and Health Technician

 

The Vice Chancellor memoranda will, in future, reflect the vote of the committee.

 

TCA transfer issue:

Established subcommittee to look at this and formulate recommendations.
