Deletion of Cross-listed course
: HESC-137: First Responder/SFTY-132: First
Responder. The courses are not equivalent as HESC-137 is not approved by the
Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals-Board of Emergency Medical
Services. Students completing the SFTY-132 course are not eligible to obtain First

While the SFTY course is valuable to the Safety and Heath Technology degree and
certificate program, the cross-reference to the HESC course is confusing and
misleading as it implies the courses are the same.
