Business and Technology/CULA
New Course
: PAST-217: Pastry Arts Capstone. Creation of a new course PAST-217: Pastry Arts
Capstone (3-4-5/105). This course incorporates all the processes of the bake shop into a
capstone course. Students will take a certification examination as well as a final practical
examination that is evaluated by industry chefs. Includes managerial concepts of the bake shop to
include cost control. Plating, sanitation, and display techniques will be emphasized.

Business and Technology/CULA
New Course
: PAST-251: Baking and Pastry Work Experience III. Creation of a new course
PAST-251: Baking and Pastry Work Experience III (0-20-3/300). Work (20 hours per week) in a
cooperating bakery/pastry institution. Maintenance of a log book describing work experiences
containing recipe files and photographs of display work is required.

Business and Technology/CULA
Creation of Concentration
: Creation of a third concentration in the Culinary Arts Associate of
Applied Science degree program – Pastry Arts (in addition to current concentrations of Chef
Apprenticeship and Catering).
d)
Liberal Arts/INTD
Approval of Catalog Description
: Technical Diploma in Interior Design. Approve the catalog
description for the Technical Diploma in Interior Design.
