SUMMARY

Post-Katrina enrollment increased 10.9% from Fall 2006 (11,916) to Fall 2006 (13,211).

Male students increased by 14.6% from Fall 2006; female students increased by 9.3%.
Our female student enrollment continues to make up 70% of the total.

African American enrollment increased by 14.2% from Fall 2006. Asian/Pacific Islander
enrollment increased by 12.9%. Caucasian enrollment increased by 6.0%.
African Americans now make up 37.1% of our enrollment, up from fall 2006 (36%), but still less than the pre-
Katrina percentage of 42%.

City Park Campus had the largest increase from Fall 2006 with 13.4% gain in enrollment. Northshore site
increased by 12.1% over Fall 2006.

Enrollment at the West Bank campus increased 8.0%, Charity campus decreased by -2.8%.

Transfer students increases by 21.4% from Fall 2006; First-time freshman increased 19.7% from Fall 2006.
Continuing students increased by 11.8%.

Pre-Nursing and General Studies had the largest increases in enrollment since Fall 2006.

Business Administration, General Science, Surgical Technology, Performace & Media Arts,
Respiratory Care, Management, Culinary Arts, Computer Aided Drafting
had significant increases in program enrollment from the Fall 2006 semester.

Care & Development of Young Children, and Health Information Technology had significant
decreases in program enrollment from the Fall 2006.
