SUMMARY

Post-Katrina enrollment increased 15.7% from Fall 2008 (14,450) to Fall 2009 (16,715).

Male students increased by 16.1% from Fall 2008; female students increased by 15.5%.
Our female student enrollment continues to make up almost 70% of the total.

African American enrollment increased by 21.0% from Fall 2008. Asian/Pacific Islander enrollment
increased by 12.6%. Caucasian enrollment increased by 8.3% and Non-Resident Aliens
increased by 29.5%. African Americans now make up 38.4% of our enrollment, up from fall 2008 (37%),
but still less than the pre-Katrina percentage of 42%.

The Northshore site had the largest increase from Fall 2008 with 30.5% gain in enrollment.
City Park campus increased by 13.6% over Fall 2008. Enrollment at the West Bank campus
increased 18.1%, and Charity campus decreased by -2.2%.

Readmitted students increased by 68.4% from Fall 2008; First-time freshman increased 31%

from Fall 2008. Exchange students decreased by -24.5% from Fall 2008

Pre-Nursing, General Studies and Radiologic Technology had the largest enrollment in Fall 2009.

Business and Management, Pre-Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Teaching Grades 1-5,
Criminal Justice, Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Coding had significant increases
in program enrollment from the Fall 2008 semester.

Business Administration, Nursing and Fire Protection Technology had
significant decreases in program enrollment from the Fall 2008.
