I just wish there were more jobs available. Also, I would have liked if more employers would have been more receptive in
allowing students to do internships/volunteer at local news stations or radio stations regarding the Communications Major.
I feel I got a GREAT education at Delgado, It prepared me to move on to UNO to continue my studies. Delgado has well
qualified instructors.
I feel the instructors did a great job of preparing me for the range of tasks and problems that I face on a day-to-day basis in my
career. The instructors were incredibly helpful and accommodating within the prescribed class time.
After seven months of graduating from Delgado with an AS, I blame only the current recession for my unemployment status.
As far as my education at Delgado is concerned, I don't believe I could have done better for the price I paid.
All colleges require more hours and not excepting transfer hours from Delgado will have to start over. I am not happy about
that.
Because 6 months have passed and I am still unable to get a job in the nursing field, I plan to enroll in the RN to BSN program
at LSU to continue my education.
Charity School of Nursing has a long standing tradition of providing good clinical skills with excellent theory based classroom
instruction. It would benefit students to spend a summer clinical skills rotation at fee, since hospitals cut back budgets.
Charity was a wonderful school. In feedback from preceptors and managers, overall Charity puts out the most skilled
students. I was taken out of orientation at 3 weeks thanks to Charity School of Nursing.
Consistently heard from fellow students that clinical instructors were inconsistent with methods of instruction and grading --
need a clear set of expectations and goals, performance requirements, so that everyone is on the same page.
Delgado Charity School of Nursing was a wonderful experience, prepared me for becoming the best nurse I can be. From day
t th Slid ll t d ti i ht i t t l t d t b f l d ll d d kill d
one at the Slidell campus to graduation night, every instructor only wanted me to be successful and a well rounded skilled
person.
Delgado is a great school, that provides great opportunities! Meanwhile, it's the instructors that misleads you! Sad but true....
Delgado NEEDS a parking garage. It literally used to take me 20 minutes to find parking.
Delgado was an educational and fun experience.
For our instructor or dean to refer us to their connection to the job force. Because a lot of us do not have the jobs they want or
graduated for. When there is a job opening refer one of your graduating student for the job.
Had an excellent instructor Mrs. Fran. She was available outside of class to help. Learned a lot, and it has helped me find a
job. However I wish there would be more open jobs in the area of what I graduated from.
Hopefully the class of 2011 students will have more luck than what I had in finding a job or getting some assistance with
finding a job, because its very very hard. My wages that I receive is not enough to take care my family with.
I am extremely pleased with the education I received in the Visual Communications program at Delgado Community College.
Every day, I use skills, practices, and concepts I learned in those classes. I felt prepared going into interviews.
I am extremely satisfied with my career as a registered nurse! While I was very intimidated when I started my first job after
graduation on a med/surg floor, I knew I possessed the skills and knowledge to do my job well.

Spring 2010 Graduate Follow-up Survey Comments
I am proud to say I'm a graduate from the Delgado vet tech program. I enjoy being able to give back by being hospital
coordinator and making sure the students get great clinical experience to sharpen their skill!
I am very up set with the lack of classes that transferred to Nicholls. My advisor had me take business classes knowing that I
was transferring and they do not transfer so now I am a year behind. This matter makes my very upset.
I enjoy the teachers at Delgado.
I enjoyed my experience at Delgado Community College. I had knowledgeable teachers who taught; lab, theory, clinicals, and
life experiences. Since I've been working as a Certified Surgical tech I do realize that our program at Delgado can use more up
to date technology.
I enjoyed my experience at Delgado. I would suggest Delgado to anyone who feel they are not prepared for a four year
university, Delgado will surely prepare you. The instructors-staff wants you to succeed, they are willing to help, always, they
are.
I enjoyed my time at Delgado, however I felt that while some teacher really tried to make the best of it, that sometimes other
students irresponsibility limited the advancement of the class. I would especially recommend the classes I took.
I especially grew to love Ms. Green! She was very thorough and became like family to me.
I like the fact that Delgado is doing a follow up on it's graduates. Good job!
I liked Delgado so much, when I was presented with a teaching opportunity here I jumped at it.
I love the learning process and returning to school at the age of 65 years was thoroughly enjoyable. I also enjoyed sharing my
knowledge with many of my younger classmates who haven't heard of a lot of things most of us take for granted.
I loved the small classes and the length the professors would go to ensure you understood the material. I miss my days at
Delgado when I felt like I was apart of the class and not just one face out of the masses. The tutoring was available.
I really appreciated how available my instructors made themselves to their students. I really benefited from their close
instruction and their concern for my career aspirations.
I really enjoyed the courses and professors at Delgado and tell anyone thinking about going to college for graphic design to
talk to Mr.Walley at Delgado. I'm very happy with my degree and have been doing a lot of free lance work.
I registered with Delgado's job placement service before my final semester and never received a call from them. I returned to
update my job needs shortly before graduating, and still never heard from them.
I think the instructors I had made it extremely difficult and it was unnecessary. I currently work as a registered nurse and the
whole care plan thing is so much easier than Charity makes it out to be. I spent hours and days trying to complete care plans.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my studies at Delgado, I give big thanks to Bettie Abbate, head of horticulture department
for my success with my classes. I will be back this spring to continue my studies.
I was disappointed with Delgado on one problem. I was an out of town student and anything that was important I would not get
the letter until after the event. Example grad fest. Also I had more trouble with trying to get anyone in the office to answer my
questions.
I wish Delgado would have been more helpful in finding a job in my field because now I have a degree and I can not find a job.

I was very upset at the fact that I was told in August on 2008 that I would be able to get a Pastry Degree, then in the spring I
was told that I could not get it. Therefor I took all these culinary classes that I did not want to take and did not need.
I wish that DCC-CSN would have an additional study program for a BSN or provide a sister school to complete such education.
In addition a referral or sister school for an MSN would be great.
I would highly recommend Delgado to any person seeking education for the first time. It 's the perfect place to prepare you for
continuing education and the workforce.
I would like for each campus to be able to provide assistance to each student and be able to know what is going on with each
student. I would also like for some personnel to be held accountable for providing students with incorrect information.
I would like to know is there any clerical or administrative jobs opened at Delgado? If so, how do I go about applying for them.
I would like whomever to know that the staff and advising within my course of study (ASLS) at Delgado Community College
was the most professional and helpful guidance I needed for my academic career. I was quickly and greatly helped with any
questions.
I'm glad that I choose to attend Delgado Community to College after high school. My experience there was amazing. I was
able to learn so much. I have become a better person in so many ways.
I'm not sure of any changes regarding the recording of classes for study purposes. The study habits the students use to pass
the course should take priority in decisions to record lectures.
If it were not for Mrs. Jaime Lax, I would not have received an associate's degree. I was advised at the Covington campus and
was not told an Associate's degree was an option.
My instructor, Leslie Knowles, demonstrated remarkable patience with her students and her door was always open to speak
with her about any concerns. I appreciated her constructive feedback, guidance, and encouragement to succeed.
My over all experience was great. It was hard, but I guess it should be or everyone could be a nurse. My instructors were
awesome; always willing to help and explain things. I got a lot of experiences and my clinical locations.
Satisfied with the program.
Some of the instructors have to much control over some things, I think other instructors should be asked to get involved when
there is a dispute over work, for instant care maps and journals, every instructors have their own way of deciding work.
Thanks to all of the hard work that the teachers put into helping the students.
The course is not easy. It is a real challenge but I learned a lot. Thanks to Mrs. Sandra Palmer, Mr. L. Goody, and Mrs. L
Christopi.
The education I received at Delgado was great. I just wish alumni would be/ get more involved after the graduate because after
they leave we really don't see them anymore. It's gotten so bad to where we had to do away with Homecoming (After Party).
The advising was pretty non-existent.
The massage program prepared me well for the massage field.

The Legal Secretary program at Delgado was a waste of time and gasoline. It did not adequately prepare me for a job in this
field. Because lawyers are looking for individuals with years of experience and knowledge, more needed to be done to
prepare.
The program didn't provide the same classes every semester but once a year instead,(some are only provided in the spring
semester and some are only provided in the fall semester) which forces you to have to wait another year to take the class if
you missed one.
This program with the Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment has the potential to be a wonderful program but it is not
one in practice. I was very disappointed in the program.
To whom it may concern: there are "teachers" at Delgado nursing school who would eat their young, this is not a proper
teaching method for the nursing profession or any profession for that matter. Best regards, ...
When I was completing my other associate degree, one of my teachers, suggested I get into the Computer Networking
program. I decided to do it and it helped me get the job I'm in today. I can't thank him enough for encouraging me to pursue a
second degree.
Where is the survey that rates the staff and poor customer service? The financial aid department is absolutely ridiculous,
sometimes so unhelpful that I was forced to find out answers to my questions in other ways.
Wish I was able to continue my studies at Delgado.
Wonderful Instructors!
You guys need to make adjustments to the program. Take out the classes that aren't accepted and put those that are needed
in its place Classes that aren't being accepted at SUNO intro to teaching & the 40+ hrs of field exp ENGL 212 &222
