Report Limitation
According to data received from the National Student Clearinghouse, 3,169 Delgado students that were enrolled in Fall 2009,
transferred to another institution by Spring 2012.
This data is furnished to us by the National Student Clearinghouse(NSC). From the NSC report, eighty-four percent of students were
found and reported, the remained sixteen percent reported either no response, or were blocked by school or blocked by student. NSC
can not provide attendance and completion data for colleges that do not report these data to the Clearinghouse. Colleges in Louisiana
that do not report attendance and completion data to the Clearinghouse include: Capital Area Tech College-Baton Rouge, Southern
University at New Orleans, Sowela Technical Community College, Nunez Community College, and Career Technical College.
Status of Fall 2009 Delgado students who transferred as of Spring of 2012
Of the transfers, 440 students (13.9%) had graduated at Delgado Community College before transferring.

OIR
Of the 19 programs with 4% or less in graduation rate standing, 7 had ten or more transfer students. These programs, particularly
those whose transfers were primarily sophomores or above, may want to review program content from the standpoint of what
students in those programs need to be successful at a 4 year institution.
It should be noted that not all programs are designed for transfer. Nor can we be sure that the students continued their same major at
the transfer institution.
Overall 19% of students attending DCC in Fall 2009 transferred by Spring 2012, of which ten percent graduated from their transfer
institution.
Recommendation
Transfers to Our Lady of The Lake College had the highest graduation rate (47%) of all the transfer instituions in LA, 29 Associate
degree were earned in Nursing. LSU was second with 23% graduation rate, and Tulane was third with 11%.
Most transfer students transferred to UNO (25%), followed by Southeastern Louisiana University (10%), and then LSU 6%.
Note: SUNO is not represented.
Of the 40 programs with transfers of more than 10 students, 12 programs had a greater than ten percent graduation rate, 28 had less
than ten percent. Respiratory Care Technology had the highest graduation rate of 32%.
